Currently, I am using meta-analysis to look for “original discoveries and contributions by mining the untapped veins of information in accumulated research literatures.” (Hunter & Schmidt 2004, p. 21)
In general, I believe that research is inherently cross-disciplinary:
- Data science helps us to distill interesting patterns from human behavior.

- Qualitative research helps us to understand the meaning of these patterns.

- Experimental research and design research help us to use this understanding to build more effective information systems.
